If anyone demands money before meeting (via UPI, Paytm, bank transfer, or any other method), it is almost certainly a scam. Do not send any money in advance under any circumstances.

Asking for advance payment – This is the most common scam.

Pushing you to pay quickly – Creating urgency or pressure.

Refusing video call or voice call – Avoiding real verification.

Photos look too perfect or stolen – Reverse image search can help.

Asking for personal or banking details – Never share sensitive information.

Changing meeting location at the last moment – Especially to isolated places.

How to Report a Scam – Step by Step

Stop All Communication

Do not send any money and stop talking to the person immediately.

Collect Evidence

Take screenshots of chats, profile details, phone number, WhatsApp messages, and any payment requests.

Note the Profile Details

Write down the name, city, phone number, and profile ID (if available) of the suspicious listing.

Report to Us

Report to Authorities (Optional but Recommended)

You can also file a complaint on the National Cyber Crime Portal: cybercrime.gov.in or contact your local police.

What Happens After You Report?

If the profile is found to be fake or involved in scam activity, it will be removed.
We may block the associated phone number from future listings.
We do not share your personal details with anyone.
